Today's homeowners are becoming increasingly environmentally aware. From air and water quality issues to applying practices that can lower energy bills and reduce the amount of chemicals you use, informational resources are at your finger tips. The table below contains helpful resources relating to issues such as testing wells for arsenic, testing air quality for radon, and adding a rain barrel for rainwater storage.

Communities all across the country are looking at ways to become more sustainable, decrease their carbon footprint and waste generated, and increase energy efficiency. Groundwater Arsenic Information Arsenic is a mineral naturally found in soil and bedrock that can be released to groundwater. Long-term exposure to arsenic in drinking water can increase risks of cancer and other health effects. Private wells should be tested at least once every five years for arsenic. County Health Dept.
